Science Gallery Dublin - Google Field Trip Days Programme

Science Gallery Dublin wants to welcome you and your class through its' doors. With upcoming exhibitions linking into Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle curriculum content and exploring future facing STEM themes in an innovative and engaging way, a visit to Science Gallery provides students with an inspiring opportunity to explore what happens when art and science collide. Primary Science Workshops @ Lifetime Lab

Primary schools children participate in hands on science investigations, discovering topics such as Energy, Electricity and Magnetism, Forces, Materials, Rocks and Soils, the Senses and many more. Our primary science workshops focus on the skills, concept development and content objectives of the SESE Science Curriculum. Throughout the design of the hands on workshops we are mindful of the primary science activities presented would be modelled on and represent feasible classroom practice. All Lifetime Lab education programmes are accredited by Discover Primary Science and Maths and may be used to apply for the award of primary science and maths excellence. Full details >>

VEX IQ Junior Robotics Programme

The VEX IQ Junior Robotics Programme seeks to increase student interest and involvement in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The program engages primary level students in robotics engineering projects that are hands-on, curriculum linked and  involve ICT skills, with support materials and resources available. The number of different elements make the programme inclusive for all pupils in the classroom. A full teacher training day is available, with workshop visits and continuous technical support available. All resources are provided free (except registration) to participating schools. MathWorks Mobile

MathsWorks @ Lifetime Lab aims to demonstrate and explore a multisensory approach to the learning of mathematics and is a stimulating and fun introduction to elementary maths. MathsWorks motives pupils to engage maths through sight, sound, touch and movement. Each workshop will include a short presentation before participating in a series of fun hands math’s based puzzles, games and activities covering topics such as multiplication, symmetry, problem solving and transformations. Science Workshops & Tours @ CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory

Schools can visit Blackrock Castle for a tour or workshop all year round. Our science exhibition, Comet Chaser Cinema show and on-site planetarium will inspire and enthuse your students. Workshops on Telescopes, Mars, Rockets and the ever popular theme of ALIENS are available daily. Teachers can make a free planning visit. Full details >>

Anyone 4 Science Science Club - Baldoyle, Donnycarney, Stillorgan, Newtownmountkennedy, Castleknock

Fun, hands--on science clubs for 6 - 11 year olds. The club meets once a week for an hour packed with hands-on science activities. For the first half of the autumn term we are investigating agricultural science. After half term we will move on to a space science module. Munster Programme Training
