Primary Science Workshops @ Lifetime Lab

Primary schools children participate in hands on science investigations, discovering topics such as Energy, Electricity and Magnetism, Forces, Materials, Rocks and Soils, the Senses and many more. Our primary science workshops focus on the skills, concept development and content objectives of the SESE Science Curriculum. Throughout the design of the hands on workshops we are mindful of the primary science activities presented would be modelled on and represent feasible classroom practice. VEX IQ Junior Robotics Programme

The VEX IQ Junior Robotics Programme seeks to increase student interest and involvement in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by engaging primary level students in robotics engineering projects that are hands-on, involve ICT skills, have support materials and resources available. The project consists of a number of different elements designed to make the programme inclusive for all pupils in the participating class. The project provides STEM engagement including Robot Skills (Design and Build a robot to complete a number of specified tasks), Programming Skills, ensuring the upkeep of an Engineering Notebook, STEM Project Research and Pit Design. MathsWorks @ Lifetime Lab aims to demonstrate and explore a multisensory approach to the learning of mathematics and is a stimulating and fun introduction to elementary maths. MathsWorks motives pupils to engage maths through sight, sound, touch and movement. Each workshop will include a short presentation before participating in a series of fun hands math’s based puzzles, games and activities covering topics such as multiplication, symmetry, problem solving and transformations. The first Citizens’ Debate on Space for Europe
