Published 19 December 2011

NUI Galway and Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology have launched a “Code Ninja” competition. The contest is open to students of any discipline attending either of the third-level institutions and is designed to encourage them to learn new computer programming skills.

Those who enter will receive training and mentoring in coding and design as well as web and app building. Submissions will be judged on four criteria: quality; novelty value; usability and market potential.

There are lots of prizes for the best entries, including an iPad and an iPod touch. The submission deadline is 12 March 2012. Visit the Code Ninja website to find out more.
