UCC has announced that its annual Science, Engineering and Food Science (SEFS) lecture series will recommence on 11 January. The free public lectures will run on Wednesday at 8pm until 14 March in the Boole 4 lecture theatre.
The SEFS series will introduce audiences to contemporary issues in science including particle physics, wave energy and nanosensors.
The opening lecture will be given by science columnist and professor of biochemistry, William Reville and will look at the growing problem of herbicide resistance among weeds and how it affects major crops.
