The RDS is calling for expressions of interest from primary school teachers wishing to join a pilot group of teachers who will help to develop and deliver a new teacher education programme in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).
This pilot professional development programme will place a strong emphasis on innovative, hands-on, inquiry based approaches to teaching and learning science and maths at primary level.
The programme is an initiative of the RDS, in partnership with St Patrick’s College of Education and CASTeL, DCU and is being developed to support the existing Discover Primary Science and Maths programme.
The deadline for submission of the Expression of Interest Form is Friday, 16 November 2012.
