Back to school also means back to developing exciting class science projects for the RDS Primary Science Fair 2013!
The call for entries is now open and primary schools across Ireland are invited to visit www.rds.ie/primarysciencefair to submit an expression of interest to participate in the 2013 Fair before 2 October 3 2012.
The RDS Primary Science Fair provides a public forum for primary schools across Ireland to showcase their class STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) projects, receive feedback from experts in the field and learn from viewing other projects at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition.
A total of 120 places are available to schools who would like to exhibit a class project on one day of the Fair which runs from 10-12 January 2013. Fourth, fifth, sixth and multi-grade classes in the Republic of Ireland and Key Stage 2 years in Northern Ireland are eligible to participate.
Students must work as a class under the supervision of their teacher on a project which should seek to pose and answer a question related to the primary science curriculum.
