The 2011 Junior Spider Awards were held in The Helix at DCU recently. The awards encourage primary and secondary school students to improve their web skills and celebrate the achievements of those who have participated in web design projects.
The winning entries ranged from blogs to revision apps and fashion websites. Dan’s 5th Class Blog from Balbriggan Educate Together won the primary Best School Blog. CBS Kilkenny’s Quick Revise app won the Best Web App in the 4-6th year category.
Michael O’Neill Design, from a student at Dundalk Grammer School, Louth, won both the Best Web Design and Tera Grand Prix prize in the 4-6th year category.
