Discover Science & Engineering (DSE) has limited funding available for partnership – and the application deadline has been extended to 29 April.
The main areas of remit for DSE include careers, maths, space, second-level science and science week. Its main audiences include students at all levels (with a particular focus on those in primary and secondary education), their parents and teachers, and the wider public. DSE also works closely with third-level institutions and with intermediary audiences such as industry and the media.
Partnership project applications must support DSE’s objectives with these areas of remit and audiences.
Applications for partnership support must be made on the partnership application form (MS Word, 86KB)
Fully completed application forms must be received by Discover Science & Engineering by close of business on Friday 29 April 2011.
Financial support is subject to availability of funds. Please note that in all categories total funding is very limited and that following this process DSE expects to provide in 2011 a total of €200,000 across approximately 20 projects for delivery in 2011, i.e. an average support level of €10,000. While support can be up to a maximum of 50% of a total project costs, typically the average funding will be 20% to 25% of costs and necessarily substantially less in the case of large projects.
