The “Smart Futures Start Here” virtual careers fair will take place from 23-27 January 2012. Its aim is to highlight the career opportunities in the information technology industry in Ireland. About 84,000 people are employed in the sector and the area is expected to grow in the coming years.
Staff members from some of the world’s biggest technology companies such as Microsoft, Hewlett Packard and CPL will be participating in live “questions and answers” sessions to inform students and guidance counsellors on careers in ICT.
Smart Futures is running a digital content competition as part of the campaign and there are lots of fantastic prizes to be won.
